Artist Showcase: Filip Štorch

 Hello Dreamers!

Today, I want to do something different. Here is a little showcase into the works of Filip Štorch and the art he has contributed to Dreamchaser: A Game of Destiny.

Where the Werewolves have their Way
Where the Werewolves have their Way

Above, is a new piece to our collection, previously unshared in connection with Dreamchaser. Where the Werewolves have their Way... This piece adds to our fantasy collection inspiring tales of folklore and fairy tales. I love how the girl's colors still give me a sense of joy even though there is a horrible event occurring. This piece could be the beginning, middle, or end of our journey together. Like a Milestone in Dreamchaser, our story changes with its placement.

Capture the Hill!
Capture the Hill!

Capture the Hill conveys a sense of urgency! It is engaging! I love how it puts you in the moment. You've been drafted, soldier! It also does a wonderful job of giving you a sense of danger while not being overly violent. I try to choose art that parents could show to their kids and teachers could show to their students.

Last Survival
Last Survival

Each piece in Dreamchaser needs to tell a story or at least inspire a story. I want each image to beg the questions...

How did we get here? Is this the beginning of our story? or the end?

Last Survival here is a perfect example. Does this spawn a story of retribution? or is it the end in a tragic tale? Was the man an innocent bystander or an overambitious fool?

For more on Filip's AMAZING work:

I hope each piece moves you in some way. I want each piece to connect with the prospective player or game master. A bit of a pipe dream, I know. Doesn't mean I won't keep trying! ;D

Special thanks to @alperkow for imagining magical werewolf cloaks and a kingdom ruled by a werewolf bloodline. I carry these wonderful thoughts with me to each game!

We are just $59 from our first stretch goal! Help me spread the word!

Dreaming with Fear the Boot!

Hiya Dreamers!

Check out this week's episode of Fear the Boot! I join the cast with Dan, Wayne, and Brodeur. We talk Brodeur's enduring love, the value of focusing on story before setting, and all things Dreamchaser!

This episode can be a little indecent at times so you might not want the kids around. ;P

Interview 39 - Pete Petrusha

Fear the Boot is the longest running podcast "about tabletop roleplaying games and a little bit more."

Thank you to Dan, Wayne, Brodeur and the rest of the crew! Your focus on session 0 has been an influence on me and my games. Dreamchaser is a better game because of it!

Brodeur, thank you for the overwhelming support! I'm SO lucky to have met you!

Shout-out to my fellow booters, Aaron Sturgill and Richard Thomas!

Enjoy the show!

Stretch Goal #1: Rough Cut Page Edging

Hi Dreamers!

Man, we knocked out our initial goal! Now, we are on the path toward our first Stretch Goal!

Do you know what Rough Cut Page Edging looks like?

Paying homage to an inspiration for Dreamchaser, I present you with The Warrior of Light. A follow up to Paulo Coelho's masterpiece, The Alchemist.
Paying homage to an inspiration for Dreamchaser, I present you with The Warrior of Light. A follow up to Paulo Coelho's masterpiece, The Alchemist.

The Warrior of Light has been an inspiration on my vision for Dreamchaser's interior! As mentioned on the Kickstarter page, I reference rough cut page edging on pearly white pages peppered with sky blue fonts and black headers. The book here has no art, so obviously, our book will look far cooler!

Still, this stretch goal is an effort to individualize each book. Yours will be slightly different than any other copy—unique and personalized by design. It will give your book a feel of something ancient, something special.

I hope this extra detail will bring you a bit more joy each time you hold the book and each time you share it with someone else!

Aren't we fancy?

over 7 years ago – Wed, Jan 25, 2017 at 09:41:20 PM

Hello Dreamers!

I gotta tell you. After yesterday's spectacular run, I thought we might hit 75% in the first day. That would have been an AMAZING feat! You know where this is going, don't you?

WE DID IT!  100% and 10 minutes to spare!

Funded in the first day!

I hope you wear that badge of honor all day! I know I will. :D

Great job! I can't say it enough. Thanks!
