Rest in Pieces is Nominated for BEST RULES in ENNIES!
almost 2 years ago – Wed, Jul 20, 2022 at 09:32:38 PM

I'm up for an ENNIE for Best Rules in an RPG!

Hiya Dreamer!

Can you believe it? Out of thousands of submissions, my latest release, Rest in Pieces is up for Best Rules! I'm an ENNIE nominated Game Designer now... for BEST RULES!

If you don't know, the ENNIES are the closest thing we have to the Oscars or Emmys in the Tabletop RPG industry. Just being nominated is a dream come true! Now, it turns into a bit of a popularity contest. Nominations are picked by a handful of Judges that are elected each year. Then, for one week, the public votes for their favorites. That week is NOW!

VOTE:

Voting is super easy! Click the category you'd like to vote for and give a 1 to your top choice.

There are TWO winners in each category, a Silver and a Gold. I believe Bronze is for the Judge's Spotlight Awards.

Rest in Pieces is the product of a tabletop game design journey to innovate on the groundbreaking work of Epidiah Ravachol's indie classic Dread. It takes inspiration from amazing storytelling games like Fiasco (pacing), Dread (core mechanic), Zombie World (character card design and character creation), and For the Queen (prompts, rules from cards).

Rest in Pieces is a slacker sitcom that some are calling the Cards Against Humanity roleplaying game. You play deadbeat roommates that share a cramped studio apartment with the Grim Reaper. What can go wrong, does go wrong, in a game inspired by the misadventures, cartoon logic, and over-the-top characters of shows like The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy, The Regular Show, Rick & Morty, and It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.

It's pick up and play same day (a feat for many roleplaying games) and can be played in an hour (to help those with no time to play). As deadbeat roommates, it's easy for new players to assume a role and try it as their first roleplaying game.

I'd appreciate your vote!

Winning an ENNIE will open doors for Imagining Games and help to bring even more interest in our future projects. Brought to you by the ENNIE award-winning studio Imagining Games.

It has a ring to it, doesn't it?

Dreamchaser on Tabletop Transformations tonight!
about 2 years ago – Thu, Feb 24, 2022 at 09:23:06 PM

Tonight on Twitch

Menachem's New Show on the (CASTT) Community of Applied, Spiritual, & Therapeutic Tabletop Gamers Network.

Tonight I'll be showcasing Dreamchaser: A Game of Destiny on a new Twitch stream exploring roleplaying games and how they can be a tool of personal and spiritual discovery! It has been awhile since I did something squarely focused on Dreamchaser, so I thought you might like to join tonight's discussion.

By design, Dreamchaser has always sought out to gamify goal setting and promote visualizing success in whatever it is a player is passionate about. I look forward to talking more about that tonight. I hope you'll join us!

We go live at 8:30pm CDT/9:30 EDT and will chat/preview the game for 60-90 minutes.

Out of Print & Call for Gen Con GMs

Out of Print

Say it ain't so!

Dreamchaser: A Game of Destiny will soon go out of print.

Can you believe it has been five years since we first took this journey together on Kickstarter?

I can't tell you how many unbelievable daydreams I've enjoyed vicariously through your stories. Pitching Dreams and Dream Mapping still does something for me creatively and collaboratively that I cherish at the game table. I'm also so grateful for how many of you now apply Gratitude at the end of every one of your game sessions, no matter the game. That is a beautiful thing!

Do you ever ponder your favorite gaming moments? I often find myself bouncing from game after game of Dreamchaser that I've run for total strangers or soon to be friends. It's especially funny when I have to push back thoughts of your game stories or the unplayed pitched dreams that evolved only in my head.

The Dream Map. A bifold board to dream map your stories collaboratively, no matter the game. Just $12.99!

If you haven't grabbed a Dream Map, this is the time! There are very few left, and soon, they'll be gone.

It's the best way to get buy in when Dream Mapping at the table and to build interest in what you're doing if you're playing in a public place. It's an enriching experience I truly hope you've shared. I love the magic of it!
