Hello Dreamers

Three years ago, I came to Kickstarter relatively unknown with no real professional credits to my name. I was just a guy with a lifelong love of  RPGs wanting to give back to the community that gave me so much!

You gave me a shot.

You helped me pursue a passion.

You helped me share a dream.

LITERALLY, we made Dreamchaser: A Game of Destiny, a best-selling indie tabletop RPG about empowering creativity and empowering players to follow their dreams one step at a time.

I've had the pleasure of meeting SO many of you over the years and hearing your stories.

Thank you for your support, seriously, thank you so much!

You opened the door for me.

New Game

After years of learning the business as the Convention Coordinator for the Indie Game Developer Network, an Organizer for Games on Demand events, a staff writer for the ENnie Award-Winning Gnome Stew, and as an indie game designer...

I'm back with a brand new game called Rest in Pieces!

Rest in Pieces is a dark comedy RPG that plays with a Two-Colored Block Tower and a Unique Deck of 108 Cards.

Fill the shows of a fed-up deadbeat roommate that happens to share a "pad" with none other than the Grim Reaper. What can go wrong, does go wrong in this ridiculous game about bad days and difficult friendships.

Rest in Pieces plays with a two-color Jenga tower and a unique card deck that teaches the rules, acts as visual aids for making characters, and that inspires ridiculous overarching problems for a lighthearted experience. You can pick up and play an RPG in just 10 minutes.

Rest in Pieces is a dark comedy tabletop role-playing game that plays in short sitcom like episodes of about an hour. Imagine playing ridiculous slackers from shows like The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy, The Regular Show, Rick & Morty, or It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia.

I Need Your Help

There is a shortage of laughs and smiles in 2020.

Will you help me shares some laughs this Halloween season?

Short but Cute

Without you, this project is just not feasible. It would be one thing if you could just grab any old block tower and play, but you can't without a whole lot of effort. So, this project costs a lot more to make than just printing a book. Its got board game costs and that adds a 0 to the end of RPG costs!

With your help, we can mass produce Rest in Pieces in an amazing box with a beautiful two-color wooden tower. We can pack the box with a ton of amazing card art and a variety of hilarious Fiend Friends to provide countless hours of laughter, creativity, and escapism at an incredible price.

I've been working on Rest in Pieces for the last two and a half years. This silly little game has seen version after version as I struggled through perfecting the level of difficulty and pacing that the game required. Innovating on block tower mechanics has its limits, and I've been pushing the walls out to see where I can find some give.

Some of you may have played RiP at Origins, Gen Con, U•Con, and Pax Unplugged. You'll see a lot of similarity but also a lot of changes—good changes! Rest in Pieces is now much more balanced, focused, and even more fun to play.

Thank you for helping me get this far!

Now, let's give the gift of laughter, and give some more people something to smile about!

New Black Mirror Inspired Adventure
almost 5 years ago – Wed, Jun 19, 2019 at 12:46:07 PM

Hiya Dreamers!

I present to you the first of three microtargeted adventures headed to DriveThruRPG. Each sandbox adventure is Pay-What-You-Want, one double-sided sheet, and complete with hooks, locations, and pregenerated characters.

THIS IS REALity is inspired by Black Mirror. If you haven't caught the show on Netflix, you're missing out! It is five short seasons of suspenseful movie-length episodes that delve into the dilemmas of technology gone wrong in the (near) modern era. THIS IS REALity will invite your players to a town too-good-to-be-true, just begging the question, "what's with THIS place?" Enjoy the thrill and suspense of watching them find out, and ultimately, their choice as to how it all ends.

Keep an eye out  for our future adventures inspired by the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers and the Transformers (late summer/fall).

Each has a starter adventure, pregens, and a variety of examples to help inspire characters toward a specific genre of play!

P.S. Have you seen the Earthdawn 4th Edition Kickstarter for The Adept's Journey: Mystic Paths? I wrote the essays for the new discipline of the Gauntlet and the Liberator path. Earthdawn is a great mashup of D&D with a fantasy Fallout (game) twist. It's been around since the 90s! Sarayu Ruangvesh, one of our Dreamchaser artists, crafted the cover! Check it out here
